Mepham Students Sing 'Keep Holding On' by Avril Lavigne for Charity

Any fans of Avril Lavigne's hit song Keep Holding On? If so, we have some news you may enjoy! On May 11th, Mepham High School got together for a fundraising event in their school gymnasium to provide education for underprivileged Ugandan children. More than 200 people turned up to hear stories about brainwashed children who are abducted and forced to fight for rebellion Joseph Kony's Army since 1987. In April this year, the school made a partnership with Stephen Shames, A fundraiser who has helped over 120 Ugandan children get into top African schools. As well as emotional exchanges of stories, some students decided to perform, including three talented students who sang a cover of Avril Lavigne's 'Keep Holding On' All in all, the night was a big success and raised over $1,650 for this well deserved cause!
