      Fans have been waiting patiently for updates on the status of Avril Lavigne's upcoming fifth record, and just yesterday we discovered that she was indeed officially back in the studio working on her follow-up to 2011's 'Goodbye Lullaby' alongside the fantastic David Hodges. However, Avril herself has now taken to Twitter to announce the status of her next release - and needless to say we are thrilled!         As thrilled as I am by this announcement, this feels like déjà vu! I swear she said this a few months ago, which was why she went on holidays because she'd finally completed it. Im not questioning that it will be better now she's spent more time on it.... do you think she's changing the direction of her album? it seems like she's been collaborating with people like Marilyn manson now and chad Kroeger before... although David Hodges writes fairly mainstream pop/rock music for a lot of artists including Pink. But I think that now she's back in the studio after saying she's finished - she is surely changing the direction of the album, or adding the new collaborations. ???
