I see your point, but the way she desribes it both times just doesn't seem to fit with it. The Avada Kedarva curse is instant ... these didn't seem to be ... they seemed to be aware. She always made it clear when that curse was being used ya'know, always described it - flash of green light etc etc ... why not those times? I dunno maybe it is and she just wanted to write about it differently for them ...
