Downloading Brushes and Fonts into Paint Shop Pro
Level: Beginner

Made by: Running With Scissors

I will be using Corel Paint Shop Pro X2.

Part 1: Brushes

There are many different websites to download brushes from, but my favourite is deviantART .

Search for "Paint Shop Brushes" or "PSP brushes"; whatever you feel is relevant to what you want. Here, I will be searching for "Paint Shop Brushes blood".

After clicking on the image of the set in the search results, click "download" on the left hand side of the screen:

You will then be prompted to download it. Click "open". Once it opens in a new window, click on the zip file, to reveal something like this:

(remove any read me files, etc. where present-they are of little or no use to you)

Now, highlight all the brush icons by right clicking the mouse and dragging it across.

Now, click "move the selected items" on the left hand side of the window. Select the "brushes" folder you created in "my pictures" (or wherever) and click "move".

Now, you can open up Paint Shop. Click

FILE>IMPORT>CUSTOM BRUSH. You should now see something like this:

Click "open", and open the folder with your brushes. Copy them all. Now, you can click "add all" followed by "ok".

And you're done! Now you can use the brushes by selecting the paint tool, and selecting the brush type.

Part 2: Fonts

My favourite font site is Download fonts | dafont.com .

Select whatever font you desire, and click "download".

Upon prompted to download, click "open".

Click on the drop down bar, and copy & paste this font file into:

local disk (C: > WINDOWS > fonts

Not only will the font now appear in microsoft word, etc. but it should also appear as a font in paint shop pro.

If you have any problems with either of these tutorials, feel free to pm Running With Scissors (Brian).
