Using gradients in paint shop pro:
Level: Beginner

I will be using this image you show you the different ways you can colorize using Corel Paint Shop Pro:




First, I will add a gradient to this image. To do this, open your image in paint shop pro.

Now, create another layer. To do this, select "layers" on the toolbar at the top followed by "new rastor layer":



Now, with this layer selected, click on the paint tool, followed by one of the paint colour selection boxes:



A window will appear. Select "gradient". Here, you can select which type of clour gradient you want. I'm going to select sky 3:




Now, simply fill this layer with that colour using any paint brush. You can then bring the opacity down to whatever you want. I'm going to choose 50%:



If you right click on this layer in the layer menu on the right, you will be albe to click 'properties'.

In "blend mode" you can try out many different settings. I'm going to choose "lighten".

This is the finished result:
