My take all the whole pregnancy thing is....I'm betting she is.
If it's true she's about 6 weeks along, that would mean on New Years Eve she would have been maybe 2 weeks, and chances are she didn't even know it herself at that time, so she ended up drinking that night. Nothing that surprising really, and it does happen...sometimes girls don't know until a month or longer even. It's so early in the term at that point that it's highly unlikely it would harm the fetus any.
A rep said the rumor isn't true...but I remember Christina Aguilera herself, AND her reps for about...6 months, saying she wasn't pregnant either, until everyone in the world could see without a doubt she was...and sure enough, she was, then she finally admittied it. So it wouldn't be the first time a rep denies something that's really true, even though I don't understand the point in doing that since this isn't something that can go unnoticed indefinitely, like maybe some other issues with celebrities. So in time, everyone will know anyway if she really is.
Additional tour dates...if her due date is in August, which makes a ton of sense if she conceived in mid December, then she could realistically tour probably until around June. Being that Gwen, J-lo and Michelle Branch have all toured while pregnant, J-lo and Michelle I think a bit more into their term, that's certainly possible for Avril. Not that she'd be able to jump around and dance alot, but she could still sing, play guitar, and get through the shows well enough. If the option is cancelling a slew of dates, my bet would be they go forward with the tour as long as possible and let her dancers do all the dancing for the most part.
Her recent photos from the beach pretty much are convincing she's pregnant...about 6 weeks as was reported. I guessed 2-4 months at first but 6 weeks is certainly possible too. Some of those side view shots really do seem as if she is...which could also be the reason for the towel she has on. Even with that, her overall shape appears to be that of a girl whose about 6 weeks pregnant. Only time will tell for sure, but at this point my bet is that she's definitely going to be a mom come August, so with that, my congratulations go out to her and Deryck on their first child! :-) I'll be seeing her a couple times before then so I'm sure by then everyone will know if it's true or not since that's still a few months off.
Avril may have said she wasn't planning on having kids until 5 more years, but accidents do happen and if she chose not to get an abortion then everyone should support her decision. She's being responsible and having the baby like Jamie Lynn Spears.
I didn't even know about the info on the main page that was posted about her "officially" being pregnant, but if that's true then that's even more reason to believe she is. I'd say in about another month or 2 at most, everyone will know for sure.
