I think it's absolutely GREAT that Avril's hometown is supporting her so well. C'mon, she put Napanee on the map!!! Even my 7-year-old can find it and explain why it's so well known now.

You're welcome and thanks for the support!!! This took quite a while, but I think people get the idea now that ticket sales are really doing rather well for a lot of the venues.

It is human nature for people to want to associate themselves with a "winner" rather than a "loser". That's a gross oversimplification, of course, since Avril's international fan base already deeply appreciates her talent, but the point is that the trashtalkers on the Internet will spread false rumours to try to diminish more casual ticket sales or otherwise tarnish Avril's image in the eyes of the general public, whereas news that a concert date is selling well will then result in even more people wanting to go.

In this situation, the truth really speaks for itself, but it had to be made more visible for people to easily and quickly see for themselves. We still don't have the larger picture of ticket sales to date in the way that the venues and the tour company do, but I do think that we've done enough sampling here to suggest that the overall status is quite healthy and that the negativity rumour mill is sourced from people with a slanderous agenda.

That's awesome!!!

For those of you in some of the slower selling markets, have you called your local radio stations to ask if they're promoting the concert? Ask when (not if) they have the next Avril ticket giveaway contest. It certainly can't hurt. Have some of your friends call. The station will get the idea, and the publicity will help spread the word. There's still time!!!
