It was my new teacher from school who was calling me. I was actually kinda surprised when I found out who she was but she sounded really nice though.

“You’re probably wondering why I’m calling?” she asked me with a cute laugh in her voice.

“Yeah”, I answered, still not knowing what the reason for her call was.

“Well, I heard what Stacey said about you this morning at school and I wanna let you know that I have talked to her telling her that it’s not right to talk about such things in front of the whole class as it is really not her business at all. “

“That’s so nice of you…” Was that all?

“But I also have to tell you something. I know your situation very well...” she continued saying
“I got pregnant as well when I was about your age. I know how hard it is and how people can be so mean often and say bad things about you.. . I just gave you a call to let you know that you can always come to me and count on me if you need anything. You have to know that there is someone who knows what you’re going through. I had no one who supported me and understood me back then.”

I would never have thought that and was really surprised by what she had told me.
“Thank you so much, that really means a lot to me” I said and felt as if I was gonna cry again.
“My God, I really cry about anything “, I was thinking and it was true, I even began to cry as soon as it was raining outside, it was ridiculous.

“And if you ask me, but don’t tell that to anyone, I think your friend was absolutely right to punch Stacey, because it was the meanest thing of her to do...but you know, as a teacher I had to punish her. It’s an authority thing..”

I couldn’t help but laugh, Ms. Newman was so cool for a teacher. I mean she was only six years older than me but she really could understand me and that’s what made her different from other persons that age. She seemed so mature but at the same time so young and fun.

“You’re such a nice person, I ´m so happy you told me about that” I would never have thought I would say that to a teacher one day but the words just came out of my mouth.

After our call I went to bed, I was feeling really good and thought I would easily be able to manage everything that was coming up in the next months but you should never be too sure about such things is all I can say now…
