We had the kids well past dinner. I was getting worried, when the door bell rang. Oh thak God. I walked to the door and opened it. Avril came in the house, followed by Deryck who was carring Damien. "Well, I don't see any casts. So I take it that he didn't break anything?" I was holding Aiden, so Avril came over to me and took him. "Nope he didn't break anything. He's bruised up pretty bad, and he has a slight concussion." She sounded close to tears again. "Avril, he'll be fine. We've both had concussions and lived, and ours weren't slight concussions." She nodded, but it didn't seem to help much. I walked over to her and gave her a hug. "He'll be fine, trust me, OK?"
A few weeks went by and everything seemed to be fine. Damien was back to one hundred percent. Avril had stopped worring about him, and Chris and I had gotten used to being a married couple. I had been getting sick it seemed like everytime I ate. I went to Avril after about a week of puking my guts up, and told her everything. "Oh my god! Hope, your pregnant. That's the only thing that explains everything." I shook my head. "I can't be Avril, we've been using protection. I can't be pregnant." She smiled, and grabbed her keys. "Come on, we're going to the store and getting a home pregnancy test." We went out and got about five tests, then came back to the house. I peed on all five of them and waited two minutes, three for a couple of the tests. When we got all the results I shook my head. "They all have to be wrong. I can't be pregnant!" She came over to me and gave me a hug. "Honey, you can have a false negative, but not a false positive. Especially not five of them." Oh shit, Chris is going to kill me! "The best thing you can do honey, is to get a doctor's appointment. I think Arya can do the test and everything for you." I nodded. "I'll go home and call, but I need to tell Chris first."
