Part Two

She pulled up outside Butch Walker's home near a black gate that covered his mansion. The night was cold and the early morning started to fog. She looked at her watch, tearing at the eyes she blurrily noticed it was close to four in the morning. She nervously pulled down her black tinted window, and pressed on a button outside Butch's big black gate. A voice responded after a buzzing sound, “Hello?!”, it muttered curiously.
“Butch”, Avril cried, “It's me!”
“Avril are you ok, one minute I'll let you in now.”
The black gate opened slowly. She slowly drove up the now fogged drive way. She could only see orange lights that had recently flashed on. She escorted herself towards them.
As she got to the door she could see a shadowy figure waiting for her, it was Butch. She ran towards him and cried as she caught a hold of him. He wrapped his arms around her and guided her towards a warm fire in his living area centered in his mansion.
“I'll get you a warm cup of tea, stay there, I won't be a second.”
She cried to herself quietly. How could she tell him? She couldn't. The words could never come from her mouth. She would never admit it. It would be too hard.
She slowly arose from her position and walked towards the bathroom. She was wondering if Butch's wife was home. What would she think of this? Turning up at all hours of the morning. But it was important. Surely she couldn't refuse her a place at a time like this.
After coming out from the bathroom, Avril lost her course and guided herself towards a bed in a spare room at the back of the house. She relaxed. Closed her eyes.
“AVRIL?!”, a man's voice echoed.
She rose suddenly, it was Butch with her tea. She stumbled from the bed and onto the floor. Face near to the ground, she attempted to rise. As she did she stopped and stared at what was under the bed. It was a green scarf. She could only see the tip of it. She didn't believe what thoughts were going through her head.
“Avril?! Where are you!?” Butch shouted worringly.
She pulled the scarf from underneath the bed. It was stuck. She pulled harder. As she did a case came out with it. She opened it. A torn green scarf, identically the same as the one hung around Deryck's neck lay safely inside. Footsteps crawled up the hallway towards the bedroom. She panicked. Butch would now have to kill her. But she didn't care. She wanted revenge. As she could hear Butch's footsteps approaching the door, a smashing noise came from down stairs. The footsteps halted in their tracks and quickly drifted downstairs. Avril grabbed the scarf and ran out of the room down the hallway in the opposite direction of Butch.
