‘’You know Avril you know her?!!’’ I screamed while not being able to bring out anything more. She opened the door for us and let us in. I tried to get her attention, but she refused to talk until we had sit down.

‘’Lucca, would you like to get these nice mans a class of orange jus?’’ The little boy looked from the woman to us and then back to the woman.

‘’Okay.’’ Then he ran off to what was probably the kitchen.

‘’Could you please tell me what you know of Avril? I had to miss her for five years.’’ I wanted to say more explain her what I felt. But Jim gave me a noticed not to tell more and just wait what she would tell us.

‘’Avril is doing fine. And if I am not mistaken you’re Deryck Whibley, aren’t you?’’

‘’yes, I am.’’ The little kid came back with two glasses of jus. A little shy he walked over to us and put it on the table. Then stared at me for a little while. He was cute very cute.

‘’Lucca, just go and play outside okay?’’ He took a toy that was somewhere in the living room and took off to play outside.

‘’’Do you know where Avril is?’’ Jim asked.
‘’Yes, I do know where she is. It’s a very long story to all explain in just an hour or one day. But I can promise you one thing, she is fine.’’

‘’Can you tell me where she is?’’ For a few seconds I could see her thinking. Which worried me. That she knew where she is didn’t meant that I could see her. That she said Avril was doing fine, didn’t mean that Avril felt fine. Avril was good at hiding, good at lying. And specially when it came about what she felt. She knew I was thinking, I just felt she knew it. Then she stood up and walked to me.

‘’Why don’t you guys stay here for dinner?’’ She made us stand up and walk to the garden.

‘’Just make your feel at home, then I’ll do some cooking. Please do me one favour. When Lucca asked what you guys are doing here. Just tell him you guys are old friends. Okay?’’

‘’Sure.’’

Why would we had to lei about why we are here? I felt it was a little strange. What I found even more strange was that she wanted to get us out of the house. But Jim seemed to be all right with it and walked to Lucca to play with him.

‘’Madam?’’ I asked

‘’Just call me, Petra.’’

‘’Petra do you need help with cooking?’’

‘’No, just stay outside, would you.’’
