Yes, I think this tour has been selling really well in most places. Hopefully the cancelled dates in the U.S. will be rescheduled for a later date when Avril is feeling better, but with longer breaks in between to rest her voice.
I also look forward very much to seeing the Toronto DVD! I think it's going to get a lot of play, just like the official concert DVD's from her last two tours. I've especially watched the Budokan Bonez Tour DVD a lot over the past three years.
I hope Avril makes it to Latin America for the sake of her fans there!

Thanks! My objective was to dispel the mostly inaccurate Internet rumors that her concerts were not selling with the truth, namely that many of the venues were selling very well indeed, with some sold out or nearly so. The Canadian dates were extremely well attended, as were many U.S. dates. Still, the measure of success cannot be judged solely by whether or not a venue sold out, as there are other factors to consider, and only her tour management knows the break even point of profitability. For the lucky fans who have seen and loved this tour, certainly it was a huge success for them.
Once you get past the tabloid lies, generalized half-truths, and skewed exaggerations by some loud people online and in print with a twisted agenda, what's left is solid evidence of strong ticket sales at most venues in North America and Europe. That really says a lot in today's globally troubled economic climate.
Avril is a terrific entertainer who richly deserves her success.
