It's just so, so, so overrated. I thought the plot was unrealistic, and just the entire thing was exaggerated and forced and stuff. I mean, come ON. WHO deals with all of that in their freshman year? ESPECIALLY if they're basically socially retarded, as Charlie was. And, I mean, what are the chances that a kid like Charlie is going to get picked up by these hippie-type seniors? It just... I just really didn't like it. Oh, and it really annoys me when people rave about how it was so, so, so life-changing. I mean, I guess I can sort of get how people would like it, but it wasn't life-changing and fantastic and stuff. I feel that way about Fight Club too. Granted, parts of it really confused me, but even if I did I don't think the book is life-changing. It didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. It was a good book, entertainging and all, but there weren't any shocking revelations in it.
/rant. Lmfao, I just feel really strongly about this.
