Music from Alicia Keys, Leona Lewis and Avril Lavigne all helped to bring in the cash.

Sony’s financial results for the last 12 months are in and TechRadar's had a look at what the company has got up to in the last year. And we must admit that it’s had a pretty good run of things.

Avril Lavigne "The Best Damn Thing" has sold 5,440,575 albums.
But this number is actually low because it does not include legally downloaded songs.
