Updaaattttee.

“Geana” I said, still smiling and keeping eye contact. “And yourself?”
“I’m Dana. I don’t suppose you could lend me some money?” She looked at me with a look I couldn’t say no to. I pulled out my purse and gave her a ten pound note.
“Thanks. I need to call my parents ASAP, so if you don’t mind, I’ll be off now.” At that she got up and walked away, for me to never see her again. Not once did she smile, not even slightly. I sat for hours staring into the distance, with people passing by me. My mind was so far from reality that I wasn’t even sure what I was thinking; the wind picks up causing the waves to crash violently, distracting me from my thoughts. I rush to my feet and look around in bemusement; I didn’t know where to go, so I ended up wandering the streets aimlessly. Whilst walking with the flow of people through the high street my eyes are drawn to a poster full of colour, “PRIDE FESTIVAL” titled the advertisement for the Gay and Lesbian pride festival coming up in a couple of weeks. I thought to myself, Hmm that could be interesting, perhaps I’ll stick around for that. Before the day was over I’d managed to find a decent enough place to stay, it was a small guest house on the north side of town; owned by an old married couple. Their names were Morris and Doris and had been together since they were teenagers, how cute!

After two weeks or so had passed by I found myself surrounded by an atmosphere of homosexuality, music flowed from the near distance to my mind and the echo of voices fills the air. As I lay in the in a park with the sun beaming down on to my body, a girl who looks the same age as mine, sits down next to me; “Hey.” She says with a smile on her face.
“Hey,” I smile back, “You okay?”
“Yeah, I’m great. How about you?” Her smile stays firmly put, as the sun reflects in her glasses.
“Yeah, good. What brings you here? You got a girlfriend?” Not really knowing what to say I make random conversation; the girl whose name I do not yet know removes her glasses and her glistening eyes appear in the summer sun.
“The festival, of course. And no, I’m single!” She grins as she reaches the end of the sentence.
“I’m single too. I’m just chilling out here, I ran away from home... my parent’s are so… so…” My pupils are fixed in the corner of my eye as my mind struggles to find the right words. “…they don’t understand me.” Before I finished speaking to the girl, who still hadn’t introduced herself, she moved her body closer to mine, and our lips met. She kissed me whilst her hands travelled through my hair and around my neck. A certain lower body part suddenly seemed to become increasingly moist, as I pulled away from her. “I’m not a lesbian!!” I screamed, causing dozens of women to look round.
