Okay, so this is my first attempt at Fan Fiction...I hope you guys like it.
That morning, at about 10:30, a doorbell rang. Still in her yellow pajama pants and grey tank top, Avril rushed to the door, leaving Deryck in the kitchen. She opened the door to find Evan Taubenfeld, her best friend, standing with his guitar case. He was dressed in very dark blue jeans, a yellow tee shirt, and a jacket the same color as his pants. A wallet chain hung from one of his belt loops.
"Hey, Evan!" She said, smiling.
"Hey, Av." Evan replied, walking into the house. "Where's Deryck?" He asked, his eyes searching the house.
"He's in the kitchen finishing up his breakfast." Avril replied, walking over to the couch where her guitar case laid.
Quickly, Evan made his way into the kitchen to find Deryck Whibley finishing his cereal. "Sup, Deryck." He said, holding out a hand.
Deryck placed his spoon onto the black marble counter and shook Evan's hand. "Nothing much, man. How about you?"
Evan shrugged, "Nothing much, really. Just coming to help Av with some songs."
Deryck nodded, smiling, "Ok, cool." He got up from his chair, placed his dishes in the sink and walked into the living room where Avril sat, looking up at him. "Hey, I need to go to the store, I'll be back later."
She nodded as Evan entered the room, placing his guitar case on the couch opposite of the one Avril was sitting on. "Okay." She said, simply. With that, Deryck walked off into their room.
He quickly changed into a white band tee-shirt, black pants, a black jacket, and then pulled a pair of black high-top Converse sneakers onto his feet. He placed his wallet in his back pocket and returned to the living room to find Avril and Evan already talking about chords and specific notes.
The living room had gold hued walls with white baseboards and two black couches separated by a glass coffee table. Pictures were displayed on the wall and directly in front of the coffee table was the kitchen. Several sheets of paper were scattered onto the coffee table as Avril and Evan faced each other, Avril on the left couch, and Evan on the right couch.
"Personally, I think an A chord should be played there," Evan said, pointing to one sheet of paper. "mainly because the other chord would throw the whole thing out of tune."
Avril, still in her pajamas, looked at Evan, hearing the tune in her head. She hummed a few notes of the piece and nodded, "Yeah, you're right." With that, she took a pencil and wrote down Evan's suggestion.
Deryck walked over to the couch where Avril was, placed a hand on her back and said, "I'll be back later."
"I love you," She said.
He smiled, leaned over and gave her a small kiss, "I love you too," He turned his attention to Evan, "See you, man."
Evan nodded and watched Avril.
She stared at the door longingly after Deryck had exited the house then redirected her attention to the paper on the coffee table. "Okay, so...do you want to run through what we have so far?"
Evan shrugged and repositioned his guitar, "Sure, why not?" He pulled the sheet of paper closer, studied it for a brief moment and nodded at Avril, showing that he was ready to begin.
Avril stared at her part of the music, which was, of course, the vocals and rhythm guitar. She couldn't wait to play the piano part she had written, but she figured that would come later once the guitar part was completely written. She placed her fingers to create the right chord then began to play the song. After about one measure, Evan came in on lead guitar and began to sing a harmony part.
"This innocence is brilliant, I hope that it will stay
This moment is perfect, please don't go away, I need you now
And I'll hold on to it, don't you let it pass you by."
She played a few more chords then stopped, her eyes still glued to the peice of paper.
Evan watched her, trying to read her expression.
"I love it." She said, finally.
Evan smiled, "Good! I think it sounded awesome. That measure, where you went up higher in the range, it was really good. Everything blended nicely."
Avril nodded, "Yeah, it did."
"I think it'll be great," Evan said, looking over his part again.
"Alright then," Avril said, leaning back on the couch, her tan guitar still on her lap. "You know, I've got a good feeling about this song. I don't know why, I just do."
Evan smiled, "Yeah, I do too. I think once we decide what we want in the song, and when it all comes together, it'll be awesome."
Avril nodded, "I think so too. Hey, can we run through it again?" Avril added, sitting up.
"Yeah sure," Evan replied, putting his black Taylor guitar in place.
With that, Avril and Evan began playing the song again until the lights dimmed momentarily. Immediately, Evan stopped playing, "What the fuck was that?" He asked.

so, should I continue?
