Greet her when it's your turn, say a few nice words, get your picture taken with her (remember to smile), and move on. Make the memory positive by the simple fact that you got to quickly converse with her and get a pic that you'll never forget. There's usually not a lot of time for much else, anyway.
When you get access later to the Meet-n-Greet pictures from other venues, you'll see that there are lots of older adults who met her, too, although there is no question in North America that the majority of her concert-goers are teen girls, which is perfectly fine, considering her widely diverse global fanbase. One of these days I wouldn't mind seeing her in concert in Germany to see the difference in demographics (heavily male), but as a parent of two girls, I really don't have any problem with going to such an amazing concert where I'm seriously outnumbered. Regardless of age or gender, we're there as fans for the music and to support Avril.
Have fun! She's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you again for all the pointers and pre-concert help before the Dallas show. It was a super experience for us, and hopefully others will be just as thrilled as we were to meet her.
Cheers!
