I don't know where to start with my opinion on Angels & Airwaves. I guess I'm somewhat disappointed with the album. I wasn't expecting it to live up to the hype, that would've been naive, but I was hoping for a solid album from a band of well-established musicians.
We Don't Need To Whisper isn't a bad album, but I think it could've been a lot better.
One problem was Tom having pretty much complete creative control. When he was in Blink-182, his ideas would be honed down and perfected by Mark, Travis and usually a producer. In AVA, every idea remains untouched by seemingly spineless bandmates. It's hard to see errors in your own creations, which is why Tom
needs a producer or someone to criticize his songs and ideas.
Anyways, my favourites are... "Start The Machine", "Do It For Me Now", and "The War".

Very true. I like their music (not as much as I hoped I would), but I think their "message" is bullshit.
And if Tom wants to be taken seriously as a musician, he's really gonna have to improve his live singing.
