Avril sat on the lonely park bench, searching for answers of why Jamieson was taken from her. It was 3am and the park rangers were walking around telling people to get out but every time one walked up to Avril she glared at them and they walked away.
What did I do to deserve this? I just had a fight with him… Are people not allowed to fight anymore?
“Excuse me miss?” A man walked up her in a blue suit.
“Yes.” Avril looked up.
“Is your name Avril?” She didn’t say anything “Excuse me?”
“No, you’re mixing me up with someone else.” Avril breathed heavy, hoping he would believe her.
“Well if you see any young girls in the park….” The police officer smiled “She looks like this.” He handed her a picture.
“Thanks.” Avril stated receiving the picture from him, no longer looking up.
“And if you see her…. Tell her that her parents miss her a lot and that in times of sadness nothing means as much as the people that love her.” He winked, walking away.
“I lost the person that loved me.” Avril sighed.
“What’s that” he turned around.
“My boyfriend we had a huge fight, and now he’s gone.” She teared up.
“What happened?”
“Look… I’m sorry I brought it up. I don’t think this any of your business and my parents don’t understand either. Don’t tell them where I am please.”
“I’m afraid you have to come with me.”
“You were going to let me go before.”
“I wasn’t really going to, I was going to watch you.” He smiled. “Now come with me, you’re coming to the station.”
“No I’m not.” Avril jumped up, running across the field.
“Miss Lavigne, don’t run away” the officer yelled.
She ran far into the distance…not taking one minute to look back and see who was following her…..
