Musical honour for Nettwerk founder, Idol producer

Canadian music industry mogul Terry McBride and television producer John Brunton will be honoured next spring by the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame.
Organizers announced Thursday that McBride and Brunton will be inducted into the hall, joining past laureates such as music producers David Foster and Bob Ezrin as well as musical groups Blue Rodeo, Rush and Triumph.

McBride co-founded and is the CEO of Nettwerk Music Group, which encompasses an independent record label, artist management, publishing and design.
Nettwerk clients include some of Canada's biggest names in music including Sarah McLachlan, Avril Lavigne and the Barenaked Ladies as well as international acts like Dido and Jamiroquai.
Currently known as the producer behind TV's
Canadian Idol, Brunton has worked in television for nearly three decades, producing everything from dramas to game shows.
Music-related specials or segments have been a highlight of his career, with Brunton at the helm of 14 Juno Award broadcasts as well as the Canadian popular music retrospective
