Avril Lavigne dismisses pregnancy claims

Singer Avril Lavigne has denied media reports that she is expecting a baby with her singer husband Deryck Whibley.

Various US news websites claimed recently that the singer is about 6 weeks pregnant.

A DJ had reportedly claimed that Whibley had "been telling all his friends that he's excited to be a father".

However, Lavigne's representative has dismissed the reports, saying: "It's not true."

Washington, Jan 11(ANI): Rocker Avril Lavigne has dismissed the reports that she is pregnant.

The 23-year-old singer's rep denied her pregnancy reports.

"It's not true," Usmagazine.com quoted the rep, as saying Avril's pregnancy rumours kicked off when Canadian radio host Zack Taylor wrote, "Avril is a month-and-a-half pregnant and that her husband, Deryck Whibley has been telling all his friends that he's excited to be a father."

The rock star had married singer Whibley in July 2006 at a private estate in Montecito, California.

Avril Lavigne rebuffs pregnancy rumors

Written reports by a Canadian DJ identified as Zach Taylor that singer Avril Lavigne is "a month-and-a-half pregnant" were flatly denied by her rep earlier today. According to Zach, Avril's husband Deryck Whibley "has been telling all his friends that he's excited to be a father" -- and while that may be the case, the couple is not currently expecting a baby according to the rep, who told US "it's not true."

Avril, 23, and Deryck, 27, were married in 2006.

It seems it's pregnant celebrity day today!
The latest celeb to get herself tangled in a pregnancy rumor is Canadian singer Avril Lavigne.
Rumor has it that Avril is about six weeks pregnant and that Deryck Whibley has been telling all his friends that he's excited to become a father.
Although it could be possible ... i highly doubt it! Avril is too young to get pregnant ... but when i come to think of it, age didn't stop Lynn spears from getting preggers!
It's just a matter of time ... we'll either start seeing Avril bloated or she'll release an official statement!

Baby Watch: Avril Lavigne


It seems like every day a new celebrity is expecting. And for today’s installment of Celebrity Baby Watch, Avril Lavigne is taking the honor.

That’s right; the 23-year-old punk rocker is taking the next step in her marriage with Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley - parenthood. They’ll be celebrating their 2nd year of marriage this July, and Avril is slated for an August due date.

The announcement of her pregnancy may put the kibosh on her latter 2008 touring. She’s already scheduled additional dates for her North American tour (Minneapolis; Atlantic City, NJ; East Rutherford, NJ; Boston; Montreal; and Uniondale, NY) and she’s scheduled to do a worldwide tour after that.

At least she won’t have to worry about that pesky copyright infringement lawsuit from the ‘70s band the Rubinoos. Reportedly her attorney has settled it out of court for an undisclosed amount of money.

My head is spinning as I can't keep up with who's pregnant and who's not in Hollywood.

There is a rumor going around on the Internet today which claims that Avril Lavigne is 6 weeks pregnant. 6 weeks? That would mean she was pregnant on New Years Eve when we saw her at Club Prive in Las Vegas drinking Cristal from the bottle like it was water. A pregnant woman wouldn't do that, would she?

Apparently her husband Deryck Whibley is telling all his friends how happy he is about being a daddy.

Do you guys actually think Avril is pregnant? If so do you think she would make a good mother?

UPDATE: Avril's rep denied the rumors. "It's not true."
