Let's think about this for a second...

Avril has been using her tour partially to advertise her upcoming "Abbey Dawn" clothing line, due out in a few weeks. We all know this...

So why in the Baby Jesus' name would she want to cancel a bunch of dates right before that clothing line was due for release? It's a bad move marketing wise, unless something serious happened to her, like, I don't know...losing her voice?

She knows her clothing line is coming out soon, and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't cancel a bunch of dates, prior to the release of her clothing line, just because of low ticket sales. It would be stupid, marketing-wise, and I'm pretty sure she knows that...

Also, as far as I know, she's never canceled before (even after a family member died), she's been performing on this tour despite the fact that she was sick two/three times, and she tried to sing two days after initially losing her voice. Why cancel NOW, when so much is riding on it?

Why don't we just take it for what it is? She was sick, she lost her voice, she had to cancel.
Surely there must be someone else out there for these guys to write their lame gossip shit about. If not, write about something that we can actually benefit from, like one of the political candidates in America, the war, the gas crisis, social security, global warming (if it exists or not), the food crisis, etc...

I agree, in a way...
The only problem I could see is alcohol and her throat.
But who knows what state her voice is currently in...

She knows her voice is her life though, and I don't think she'd stupidly go out and party if it was still messed up. Now, does it seem "right" to all the fans, who missed out on a show, for her to be out "partying"? Probably not, but I'm sure the canceled dates were precautionary. Better to cancel and make sure she's ok, than to send her back out asap, and have something else go wrong...permanently.

In my personal view, if she was sick this whole tour, she shouldn't be out at a club or anything. She should be resting until she has to travel to her next location for her next show or she may get herself even more sick and have to cancel more shows.

I know she should have fun and not be stuck in her bed all day, and she wasn't dancing on table tops and drinking loads of alcohol but it's still not healthy to be going out.

The ticket sales thing...People just put up what they wish was true. They wished Avril's tour wasn't doing well but it's the total opposite. I think we do good ignoring that that

and I agree 110% about ignoring the bullshit. These gossip guys want attention, and honestly, there's nothing they write that is worth the attention. When they start writing about things that affect me, such as the future of social security, or the gas price crisis, I'll think about giving them some attention.

i dont think its weired cuz she is going to UK and she might not see her friends for a long while, she just wanted to hang out before she leaves to tour, i know i would hang out with my buddies if i wont see them for a long time
