Avril... coming to the 02 at Greenwich CANADIAN 'rock chick' Avril Lavigne is bringing her world tour to the O2 arena Wednesday week, writes Victoria Huntley.

Avril's latest album The Best Damn Thing, which shot to number one in 14 countries around the world when it was released earlier this year, has produced hit singles Girlfriend, Hot and When You're Gone. The album has sold more than four million copies worldwide.

She has sold 28 million records globally and her debut album, Let Go, earned eight Grammy nominations and spawned a string of youth-culture hit singles such as Complicated, Sk8ter Boi and I'm With You.

Avril recently stormed the European MTV awards, winning 'Best Solo Artist' and 'Most Addictive Track' for her smash hit Girlfriend.

She performs at the Greenwich O2 Arena on Wednesday, June 4.
