Last night on the
X Factor (UK), one of the favourites to win, Lucie Jones, 18, performed a Guns n' Roses classic as part of the rock theme. The X Factor panel couldn't jump in fast enough to recognise that Lucie had a similar trait as one of the main pop figures of today's commercial music scene, Avril Lavigne! Cheryl Cole compared Lucie to a "Little Avril Lavigne", while Simon Cowell agreed saying it was an "Avril Lavigne styled performance". We can't help but feel that Avril would be ecstatic to know that the X Factor judges think that Avril is one of today's most influential pop icons.
