The Ottawa Citizen - known for their comprehensive but complete crap coverage of Avril - gave front page reporting to the "Avril Engagement" story yesterday. The main pitch of the article was discussing if Avril would return to Napanee to have the wedding. I'm undecided as to which is more ridiculous: the idea that Avril would want her wedding in Napanee; or the fact that the Av and Deryck are referred to as "punk rockers". But wait, it gets better. Though I'm sure she meant well, the "It's a punk rock wedding, so I'd put dog collars and spikes all over the cake," declaration made by a local Napanee bakery owner is definately the comedic highlight of the article.
