Picture of the Day: Avril Lavigne with Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien

Bandaids' Picture of the Day for Wednesday, June 18th comes from April 2003 when Avril Lavigne met with then Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien at the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa! Chretien presented Avril with a Diamond plaque recognizing Let Go selling 1 million copies in Canada (meaning that 4% of the Canadian population owns a copy of Let Go... Yeah, we pretty much rule). While with Avril, he famously remarked, "She is Avril Lavigne and I am Jean the skate board guy." It was actually pretty endearing, like when your Grandfather shows an interest in your music collection. Chretien and Avril also apparently bonded over their mutual dislike for school as he told her that he had been kicked out of three schools in his lifetime! Anyways, it doesn't get much cuter thanthe interaction between the two in this photo:

I love this photo, this is a priceless picture, it is quite amazing that the prime minister met with Avril, and hilarious what they actually discussed, lol .

It could be British, French, Australian, Dutch, Russian or random colours. It's not necessarily American.
