I can understand your opinion, that it would be nice if the video made the count on its own, but unfortunately that tends not to be the way things work. The most important thing is making Avril most known, not just Girlfriend, but the whole herself. And that's why Bandaids exists, to promote and support Avril, and I believe that in this case, it made quite well, although there were some negative aspects...

I don't believe that there are negative aspects. After all this is the sort of thing that PR and marketing companies do on a daily basis. We are exposed to this constantly.

In the end no one is hurt. UTUBE is happy, Bandaids is happy, the fans are happy!

Well, they are negative and they aren't at the same time. I mean, a lot of people is calling us cheaters (and some others to Avril as well), so this is negative. But at the same time, we don't care at all what they believe, so this is not negative for us

And I wouldn't say all fans are happy...

Alot of the people that are criticising are the same people who don't like and criticise her already. I wouldn't be too concerned. The rest are just media types writing a story, looking for the most exciting edge.

As for the fans that aren't happy, they are entitled to their opinion. But I’d hope that most would consider promoting Avril as a priority.

Well, some fans believe this a kind of stupid and pathetic way to promote, because the cheating thing and of course because it's Girlfriend video and they don't like it. If it'd have been done during UMS era and with a song like Don't Tell Me, there'd have probably been more supported and less criticized.

Like most fans I preferred UMS, but its still Avril therefore she gets my support.
