Backing Dancers: Does ANYONE Like Them...!?

id say some of songs that i think umm... its better with the background dancers ot but not all the songs cuz i think they will ruin the performence
its much funnier if there are 2 dancers there on the stage but i didnt like them at first but when i hav seen a couple of performences then i began to like them

The actual 'dance' moves are very poor...i just want to see Avril running round crazy on the stage and letting loose on the songs...mainly because they are alot of fast paced songs now...instead she just stands there moving her arms about to the lyrics...

I find it very cringey watching alot of the new performances.

^she will most definitely be VERY different on tour and be running around like crazy, your judging them on performances on her promotional run and shows where the fans didnt know all the lyrics to the songs so Avril couldnt get really "into it" with them.

visually, the dancers are funky looking, we were watching the logies here and my nana was like "look at the girl behind her" and she thought it was cool. it was cute to see her get into the performance that way.

It just takes some getting used to, maybe they are still "tweaking" the dance moves - i dont know. I just know that a lot of you will be changing your minds down the road and im keeping note right now i'll tell you.

and i'm sick of all the personal attacks at them. Harsh people. Harsh.

Lets keep in mind that i dont love them, nor dislike them, i'm in the middle at the moment, i feel it has a lot of room to grow and i think its fucking awesome that avril is thinking outside the box and is trying new things.

I don't like Avril's dancers. At all.

I've only seen behind the scenes stuff, promo stuff, and TV performances but my god, it's like they're horrible all the time!

I mean, what talent do they have? They're not vocally talented (you can tell they can't gauge their voices properly) and I wouldn't even consider them dancers. I know Avril is a compassionate person, but man, there's a limit!

I feel they bring down Avril's performance and are visually intrusive. They just take up the space Avril could use to do some neat moves on her own.

Hopefully this dancer stuff will end soon. If not, they shouldn't be too hard to ignore. They're not hard to ignore now.

Harsh words, but that's what I think and feel and I know I'm not the only one.

Oh, and for her shows, I hope they don't show the dancers on the big screen put up behind the stage. Avril and the band only please.

I can't say if I like them or not, I think they're doing their job, and we have to respect it. I would rather not have that job, but still I have Avril coming to my country soon, so I can tell if I like them or not

I thought they were lame, but after seeing them live in the concert, I think they're great They made the song I can do better look much more cool. They're so funny

i dont really know if i'm actually comfortable with them yet. because the idea of backup dancers/singers defies the reason why i was interested in av in the first place.

i still love her though, but her band isn't really grabbing me.

if devin ever decides to leave, i will no longer pay attention to the people on stage with her what so ever.

i was actually starting to get used to accept the dancers thing when there was two of them, but now that shes got 4 and has said that she may even do performances with 8 i just think its kinda lame, it just doesnt look natural
