*Sigh* I don't think this thread is relevant anymore, as we have expressed our opinions about the dancers, MONTHS back. When we found out about the dancers and whatnot, the thread is still there. Searching seems hard
I've made peace with Lindsey and Sofia, I've grown to accept them, and especially when I saw them live. They really put on a show with the material they're given, you know what I mean.
But the problem is, that Avril NEEDS to dance, and I mean DANCE. Not walk back and ford, waving her hands. I think she has troubles memorising the precies dance moves, but hey gues what.. PRACTICE! I swear to God, her EMA performance was like, WTH?! Move your body k.
She shouldn't have announced her interest in dancing, if this is what she's doing. It's like spastic ticks or something. I don't expect her to shake her booty, like shake your bon bon, shake your bon bon. And I don't ask for any boob bouncing either. But just some real movements.
Is she afraid to fully let her go or something? She fuckin' moved around more when she just came out.. It's just odd when she promised to have this fantastic alive tour, and when she announced the theme of this record. Which is having fun, and that it was that reason she decided that she was gonna dance, punky dancey moves. I haven't seen this yet, or much. And even when she does, it's like, where is the live and spirit girl?
It's just really awkward seeing a dozen dancers or whatever, and she's just twitching. Haha, when I saw the EMA performance I was thinking, give the dancers a mic and let them sing. Cause if that's the way the tour is gonna look like, uh..
Gah, I could go on and on about this, but I don't want to.
Avril, I'll quote you with one of your own songs: Freak out, let it go!!
Just have fun.

I'm afraid so. Like, she's too busy getting her hair back into place. For God's sake, you're performing - sweat a bit! Improvise, FEEL the song you're singing and let it all TRANSPIRE. Instead of thinking, wow, what a great performer, people tell themselves, oh no, her hair is on her face because they're not getting anything else.

Yeah. I was just thinking about it, and He Wasn't was probably the most movement she's ever done, and not because it was filmed at 2 or 3 speed, either.

So true! She needs to be running around the stage and jumping like she used to. Her award show performances are never as entertaining as her tour but if she's trying to make them more fun she should either dance (and I meen REALLY dance) or just focus on the singing and possibly playing the guitar. I liked her dancing in the Girlfriend video but then it just went blaaah! I don't understand why she even had to go with the dancing in the first place, it's not like anyone expects her to do that.

Damn, It makes me sad to remember those times! Seen the live concert at Buffalo? Damn! She jumped a lot and it was really funny. That's the Avril i really love!

Um I know, I am not dumb!!!!!
I said it was necessary for GF I never said they only dance for GF.
I just don't mind the dancers. It's what I think. They can dance on any song they want just as long as Avril's singing

Ok, sorry! I didn't mean to annoy anyone! I was just saying that i didn't like them and that if you were like "No, the dancers should be there because they are important for GF" i would not say they are unnecessary for GF but they are dancing during the whole concert. That's what i meant. It's ok if there are dancers for GF and HOT but i still think they are unnecessary.
And of course, their appearance is pathetic for some songs!
I don't want to see them dancing, i wanna see Avril jumping and running and showing us what she's got. That's what we all wanna see.
It's just my point of view.
Luck,
Paul
