Its ridiculous. Of course they were fired, for more "in the background" bandmembers who stay out of the limelight. Avril was always accociated with her boi's and that isnt good for sales. Whats in right now is 'solo female singer/songwriters'.
Its so sad, I was JUST as big a fan of the boys as I was avril and it was so shit to see them leave.
the live performances now are just so plain and no ooomph and pazazz!

Avril has always been a corperate tool though. I hate to say it but I believe when she started out she DID wear what she wanted etc etc but Arista used that to their advantage to make money.
These days i think she is told what to do, she is much more wiser and knows what she has to do to rake in the moolah and keep her superiors happy.

Having said that,I love avril with all my heart,since the beginning. Shes amazing.So dont think im bashing her, but its true.

PS. totally unrelated topic but I just watched "day in the life of avril lavigne" for the first time in ages and how cute was she! She has changed so much.

I totally agree. I cringe watching the new performances. Ugh. Her voice sounds great, I love her music and all, but the dancing is atrocious and everyone looks so robotic and like they are just there for the money.

I dunno... Avril has never really been a big stage prescence, so maybe she is trying to be by dancing. But, it is just so... so so bad.

They do sound great and all, although it just sounds too polished, not really live sounding. I've always liked it when bands try to do something different with a song live .

And I also enjoy the fact that she was friends with the bandmembers. She always seemed to have a lot of fun with them whether it was on or off the stage. From what I've seen of the new band, she's mentioned how Rodney is her friend and talked about Devin (Probably spelled both their names wrong!) but you don't see the same interaction with the band as before.

avril or the record label had to fire the old band...she had to be put up to a higher lever with a new, better and differnet surrounding. fact is that avril isn't the girl who may could be a good singer in a while...she is it already and now it's about time to change her old carrer to support this fame and to get more...

i do miss the old band i was so sad when i heard they were leaving but thats life as long as she is still FRIENDS with Evan i find it ok but i do miss the others but yer thids band are awesome too i like Rodney alot his so good!!!

I also really miss the old band and the "old" Avril. Watching her on the My World DVD she and the boys looked like they really got along with eachother. And Avril seemed so much more enthusiastic on stage than she has in some of her more recent live performances. In alot of her recent performances she either seems distracted (possibly from the law suit) or just plain like she doesn't want to be there. Sometimes I wonder if she also misses her old band. I know she's still friends with Even but does anyone know if she's still friends with any of the other guys?

Ok, I know all of you think old times were amazing, I agree on that, but I don't think the new band SUCKS, ok? A lot of people is like getting all stressed because of them, but i mean, they left and that's it! If they came back it would be nice, but just get adjusted! It's no use to be thinking the new ones are crap because it's not fair! Yeah, you don't see the same atmosphere now, they're more focused, but I don't reckon the new band sucks, they're all pro and all, and that's why they don't suck. You see them all bored? cuz they've gotta be on the backgroud. Old times were better, I agree with it, but the new band is good too, they're not as close, but they're great too
