Jesse wasn't in the band anymore because he was the ex boyfriend of Avril's, and it would have strange touring with her ex boyfriend.

Evan left because he wanted to be the front man.

matt did other projects in the hiatus between ums and bdt, remember Avril can take as much time as she wants between albums, meaning the band is out of a job.

Mark felt his image was being marketed.

Charlie same as the reason matt left.

So as you can tell there's a variety of reasons why people left.
