Why did they leave

I'm new to this forum, so I apologize if this has been asked many times before or is taboo or something.

I'm just curious, what happened to all the band?

I was a big fan of hers during her first album, when her line-up was Evan, Mark, Jesse, and Matt. I know Mark left because of Closet Monster and was replaced by Charlie Moniz.

Sadly, before her second album came out, I didn't really listen to her as my music tastes were evolving. I remember seeing her on TV however and noticing a different guitarist other than Jesse. I've heard rumors about why he left.

Anyway, these past few months I have gotten re-aquainted with her music and I own "Under My Skin" and "The Best Damn Thing" and they are both wonderful albums. Well I was sad to see that none of the original bandmembers were left. While I think her new bandmembers are all talented, I was wondering what happened to them all. I read on Wikipedia things like this "In February 2007, it was announced officiallly that Brann is not longer part of Lavigne's band" but that is rather vague. Did he leave? Was he fired? What were the reasons? Or is that all anyone knows?

So again, sorry if I annoyed anyone with this question or if I bored you with my story, or if these questions have been asked before, or if it's an unwritten rule not to talk about this (As a big Heart fan, I know there are some topics that the devout fans don't like talking about certain topics so I'd imagine it'd be the same with Avril) or if I'm annoying you with all my apologies, lol.

they were fired , probably because she was told to become more of a STAR by Clive Davis and Terry McBride and Avril does what she is told to do , thats how i understand it , Avril has been asked but she will not answer any questions that might make her look bad or don`t fit with the official story about her put out by her record label.
It`s the same with the songwriting and stylists etc she doesn`t answer questions were the real answers just don`t fit her promotional story there are so many holes now that nothing realy fits anymore.
She did say in one magazine interview that they were not good enough ,
personaly I think the old live show and band were much better than the new one , maybe not as talented but much more intresting to see , more free and rocky its a bit boring to watch now all the dancing and costume changes make every performance identical and unitresting way to pop

evan left to form his own band, and jesse left after he broke up with avril. i dont know about matt and charlie, maybe they were fired because avril wanted a new band for TBDT?

I would say it was a move away from the old format of the supposed band...Essentially they were only a live performance band.

I was afraid they were fired. As much as I hated to admit it, the new drummer does sound pretty good. I was always a big fan of Matt, so I'm sad that he's gone.

I never was a huge fan of replacements. It took me a while to warm up to Charlie, even, and I'm sad that he's gone too.

I agree that the old band was a lot more fun to watch. They all had a lot of stage presence and energy. They never really sounded that bad either...

Oh yeah and was the whole Avril/Jesse thing real or just a rumor? I remember when the pictures came out of them at the beach, I didn't believe it because Avril said that she was against dating bandmembers but when I read Wikipedia they talked about it as it's a fact but as Wikipedia can be edited by anyone, I'm reluctant to believe everything they say...

I think they were fired. Someone said it before on these forums that Avril want to set her self apart and be her own as a artists and be like Madonna and she can't do that if she with her old band. I was just watching old interviews and tv shows about Avril. She was doing a interview with Muchmuisc and she said that they all were equal, talking about the boys. I thought is was so cute to hear again. I miss though times.

Her live show me is taking it down.Nobody looks like they are having a good time. I hate watching the new live performances videos. If i wanna watch something like that I will go and watching some other pop artist. I still love the music but I just can stand watching the live performances. If only I would get my wish and the guys would come back.

Her new band is good but there is something about her old music that I just adore. Still, all good things have to come to an end but not Avril. She is still rocking like always.

It took me a while to get used to the new band, but they've grown on me.

I still miss the boys, and i still follow what they do, future projects etc.

But meh; oh well, what can yah do?
Avril is a solo artist anyway.
