What do you guys think about the backup dancers? - Page 5 - Avril Lavigne Bandaids: The Best Damn Avril Lavigne Fansite

I really don't like her new image either, and the back-up dancers ARE annoying, aha.
They're always there, for some reason it reminds me of stalkers :P

Anyways, she did become famous for her "punky"ness, but she totally changed. I really don't mind it, BUT SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO CHANGE HER MUSIC TOO!
I loved her first two albums, The Best Damn Thing isn't really my favorite.
Maybe she's just going through a stage :P

Lol i havent heard any positive feedback on those dancers. As for makeing it more interesting. its not intresting its dumb. Ive been to c her twice but i dont realy wanna go this time. It was cool when she just came on and played but now its like full on pop show i wudnt enjoy that its 2 over the top.

You're joking. Every person who's come back from her concerts on this tour has loved the dancers. They are amazing. Just go see the show people and don't comment on them when you don't even know them. They're so talented. Like I say everytime...appreciate the art of dance.

Hey im not saying it doesnt take talent to dance but one of things that made avril great was she played shows without dancers and dance routines - its meant to be a music gig if i wanna "appreciate the art of dance." i'll go c a musical or something.

Im not being mean but seriously there no need for it all.

I completely agree.
The back-up dancers ARE annoying.
They kinda distract from the main artist..

And about the whole change of attitude thing.
Yeah I agree. But I can see it from both sides
I admit I want her back to the original in your face dont give a rat's ass girl who wore ties
But at the same time. I think if she stayed like that we would all get tired of it and say
"GROW UP."
So I think her style changing just keeps us appreciative of what she did while she was in that stage of her life in that time.

I went to one of her concerts and I didn't really like the back-up dancers, she changes alot to promote AbbyDawn (her clothing line) and she used them as a form of entertainment. I didn't think that seemed like 'her' but I realize she has changed and that's fine. My opinion is I would rather see something else then the backup dancers.

I still LOVELOVELOVE Avril!
