Man those books are the shit It's a shame I finished mine too soon
I had almost forgotten it was the release day until like later in the day (I was out of town the whole day). I ran over to Walmart to get it Cause it's closer and who wants to pay $22 for a book when you could get it for $14 at Walmart (I usually hate shopping there)

I thought the same thing about Wal Mart, but my dad was like "DON"T SHOP THERE!" and nearly bit my head off =/
so I got it at shopko for 18.
I finished it on Monday, I really hated the end, or lack thereof.

Gah, I can't stand those books. They read like mediocre fan fiction. The characters are incredibly one-dimensional and Bella is SO annoying. Plus, the vampires DO NOT BITE PEOPLE OR HAVE FANGS. That completely contradicts the entire story of the vampire. I mean WFT... they're like pussy vampires!
And Harry Potter is BRILLIANT. They'll never be near as good as Harry Potter.
Lmfao sorry, I just couldn't hold my tongue. Ignore me.

Oh... I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter... at least I was totally crazy about it when I was young. The great thing was that I was the same age of the characters when each book was realeased.
And yeah, J.k is a genious.
But sincerelly when I start to read the first book it's so, hum, childish.
The twilight serie is more for older teenagers or even adults. It's very well written and Sthephenie Meyer is so creative and the story is cute, funny... oh... it's so good and addictive!
I can't wait to read the new one...

No, Twilight is directed toward 13-year-old, insecure fan girls who swoon madly over fictional men. The story isn't good... it's like fan fiction. It reads like fan fiction. It's filled with grammatical errors and plot holes. She doesn't even follow the story of the vampire correctly, and the main point of the book (withdrawn vampire falls madly in love with self-absorbed new girl for no reason at all) makes no sense. Sorry, but, I mean, you can't say that it's well-written and directed toward adults and just wonderful... because it's not. Well-written stories do not have plot holes and grammatical errors. Stories directed toward adults have deep characters with true internal conflicts, not a new girl who falls in love with a vampire and who everyone LUVSSS even though she constantly whines about how terrible her life and her are. I can see how it could be addicting, and feel free to love and all that stuff, but to say that's it's amazingly well-written and just cute and wonderful... isn't true.
Sorry lol... I couldn't hold my tongue.

The book has it's ups and downs I guess... But I still like it I think depending on a few parts it ties in with Harry Potter, but I could say it's easier to read it, and understand whats going on in the book, which was something that sometimes didnt happen to me in Harry Potter books. I think they are both great book series
Breaking Dawn has me hooked, I go to sleep like at 4am because of it XD

I read the first one, but isn't that one supposed to be best?
Meh, I mean, I can get how it's addicting, I really can, I just have a hard time getting past the grammatical problems and plot holes and stuff. I'm all OCD about that stuff.

the plot holes are explained on the following books, and I don't think the first one is the best... the third is really great.
