Just because you didn't get it this time, doesn't mean you won't get it later.
Also, I'm Jeffrey wasn't picked out of favoritism.

During the mod contest he was in the finals, and there was poll of who should become a mod, and Jeffrey had the most votes -- but still he didn't get the position. So this was his second chance, and this time he got it.

Sharifa said there will be another one of these contests in September, so you can keep posting stories for the main-page, and hopefully you'll have better luck next time.
