i heard from BMG staff that all the versions from every country is edited except the limited version.

You see, in Japan they didn't get "Alone" as a B-side on the CD Single. Instead they got "Girlfriend (Instrumental)"!

seriously i don't understand why there's a clean edition of this album. I mean ok she uses a lot of bad words but it's not the first time she uses "shit" in a song (my happy ending). In france we usually don't give a damn about those words! i think it's to make more money because people don't want to hear "i'm sick of your shhhh" lool
I bought "Bleed Like Me" by Garbage in the UK and there wasnt an edited version
so it's weird...

Well, it's for marketing purposes. This cd actually does have more adult language. There's parts that say "mother fuck*r" and vulgar lyrics calling someone a bitch, slut, etc. So they kind of want to censor the cd for teens under 18. Maybe it's not that big of a deal in some other countries, but here in America it is..and it might make the parents think negatively about buying their children the album or prohibiting them to listen to it.

So, the explicit and clean both target different audiences. Some people like strong/foul/offensive language, some people don't.

In countries that people doesnt speak english or doesnt have english as first language, that's not a big deal. But I'm sure that in countries that speaks english as first language, that's matters.
