Avril’s songs as background music in TV shows

Hey, guys. I don’t know about the rest of you. But I haven’t heard any of Avril’s songs on TV programming- outside of MTV and CW, of course.
I think much of Avril’s music (especially her slow, introspective songs) is ideal for incidental background music for TV dramas.

So which TV shows do you think Avril’s songs are suitable for as background music?

Gossip Girl. For sure.

I don't think her songs are well suited for Lost or House at all, though. I also think that they would sound a bit odd on Desperate Housewives and Ghost Whisperer.

The others I either completely agree with or I've never heard of it or I've never watched the show in my life.

Cancelled or finished shows that they would've totally worked on as well: Friends and The OC.

I heard last time that her song FALL TO PIECES was a background in ONE TREE HILL tv series!!! way back in 2005.

Hi, I dont get MTV and I dont know what CW is, And at 5am I cant think of many TV Shows she could be in. Most of the TV shows that you list I have either never heard of or dont watch lol, Desparate Housewives and House I cant stand, Kyle Xy has adverts run for it, but the show is on a channel i cant get etc. etc. Actually the ONLY show on your whole list I do watch is Ugly Betty, its not that great, but there isnt anything else on at 9pm on a thursday so i tend to have it on.

But I know she has featured in some UK TV Shows, and people have performed her songs on shows like X-Factor, (The UK Version of American Idol Right now) and she does feature in loads of TV Commercials for various companies like WoolWorths, Asda (Walmart UK) and even TV Commercials for Theatre Movie and DVD Movie releases.

Avril makes TV a lot here. Thankyou for your cool post!

Usually TV shows have a music composer who composes special 'score' music for the show individually. Legal matters are involved when it comes to getting instrumental scores used in a show, etc..
