Yes, it does say that Avril sold over 5,000,000 copies, actually the revised numbers say she sold 5,091,200 copies in 2007.

Yeah she really did do well in 2007. Not only is Avril is the Best Selling Female Artist in the World 2007, she is the Second Best Selling Artist in the World 2007, (Since HSM2 is a soundtrack and not an artist).

That is pretty damn good.
That being said, look at how much Alicia Keys sold, and realize her album was out about A MONTH before the year ended. And its still selling a ton each week, for an album that hasn't just been released this week. Just saying that if her album had been released around the time TBDT was, AK would have crushed everyone.
