Exactly. It really makes no sense to me why they didn't fight it if they thought claim was only based on "commonly used lyrics". Avril has more cash than The Rubinoos to be able to hire better lawyers in the meantime to argue that.

I thought that the chorus of the songs sounded similar and I would have more respect for Avril if she would at least admit they're somewhat similar. I highly doubt she even played a major role in writing that song anyway.

As one of the writers of the song she most definitly would have had to make a court appearance.

Well going by Avril she layed down the chorus and verses. So unless you are claiming that she is a liar, she definitly had a big part in writing the song.

Im glad the whole ordeal is over, those rubinoo losers are pathetic nobodies who were obviously just doing it for easy money.

unfortunately, i read that it was actually settled via Avril's people just paying them. Ah well, at least its over and avril is still rich as ever. Hopefully poetic justic will hit those loser rubinoo idiots.
