When Did Your Avril Lavigne Addiction Start?

I don't really remember. I think it started with Don't Tell Me. I liked it, so I bought UMS. I fell in love with it, so I bought Let Go, too. I think I pronounced her name wrong at first. I don't remember. My memory's pretty bad.

Well, my story is a bit different than everyone else's. Lol


I have Evan to thank for this...

I was flipping through the channels, in my room - nothing was on, when I came to the Complicated video....and saw this GORGEOUS guy (Evan)...so I stuck it out just to see him. Then I jotted down her name, searched for it.....and went out to buy the album, hoping there'd be pictures of Evan on the cover. Lol

But, then when I realized there weren't any pictures of Evan, I figured "hey, why not...i paid for the fucking album; why not listen to it." So I popped it in, clicked over to COmplicated and heard the song for the first time without my hormones. Haha

Loved her ever since...that was a LONG LONG ime ago!!!

Well were do I start? lol
I first seen Complicated and I liked her unique image and sound, so I brought the album. I listened to it hours on end and realised, "Wow, this girl can sing".
So I went to see her on the TTSMU tour, and I had a whale of a time.
I was surpised when UMS was released (As I didnt have then net back then) and That was the album that turned me obsessed. and I seen her twice on the bonez tour! TBDT Just did it for me, I absloutley love everything about her now, her style, her voice, her talent.
She's my all time fave

Mmmm. I remember since a friend told me about the video complicated. She seemed cute, pretty and different. New videos been released made me like her more. And since then I've been hooked to her songs.

it all started when I hear her song keep holding on then after a while. i started grabbing some of her song until i collect them all. and now I love everything about her and her music!

My addiction started october 2002 when i first saw the complicted video on tv. The main thing that got me hooked on her was the pure fascination of her name! Then i just grew to love her from there. I don't really know why though! It's weird...i mean....she's not really anything special or got the best voice in the world....but there's something about her that i just love! And i can't put my finger on it. I think it's cause she's a brath of fresh air from the rest of the music that's being aired all the time.

well i heard sk8er boi on the radio way before even complicated was released. And i loved it... but i never caught the name of the song or who sang it. When complicated was released a little while later i fell in love with it..whenever it was on tv id record it.(pre-youtube days) and i just became obsessed with her.
ran out and bought the album and found sk8er boi on it... and freaked out..

i listened to that album religiously. At least twice a day id just lie on my bed and listen to it.

i havnt looked back since...!

I've been addicted since I saw the video for Complicated on MTV for the first time. I loved the song and I thought she was the coolest person ever. I bought the single and I loved the B-sides, I bought Sk8er Boi too and loved Get Over It. By the time the album came out all I ever talked about was Avril. And all I ever listened to was Let Go. I've calmed down a bit since then, thank God, but Avril is stil #1!!

I'm a fan since day 1 too! When Avril first released her single "Complicated" here in Germany which was in late August 2002 I was already a fan with the canada-imported "Let Go" album in my hands. Since then I followed her career and with every record my obsession grows. I definately would say I'm one of her biggest fans 'cuz I've never let her down and no "new image" scared me ;-)
After seeing her on the 2003 "Try To Shut Me Up Tour" I was addicted to her like never before.
A year later "Under My Skin" was released and this was an important album for me because it helped me as an 18 year old, dealing with my homosexualit and the confusion that comes along.
For the moment "The Best Damn Thing" is my favourite record. I'm finally enjoying life and I wanna have a good time even if I'm a really mellow person. I have such great memories of 2007 and this record was is/always around. Thank you Avril! I will always support you! :-)

well i really got addicted to her when my happy ending came out i watched mtv every day waiting for the video, i liked her before under my skin too but i wasnt addicted! think im goin to be addicted to her the rest of my life:P

My addiction started when I was in a band 4-5 years ago and the singers wanted to performa Complicated which was totally new for me. Well we rehearsed a lot and then our other singer got sick and it turned out that I sang the song in front of an audience with my friend. Then I started to borrow Let go from the library and I didn't fell in love yet. When Don't tell me came out, I was like "Whoa!" and I went to a store and bought the album Under my skin. First I just listened to Don't tell me but I learned quick to like the whole CD. That's when I fell in love and became addicted. And I'm so happy that I found suc a good singer and arole model. <3
