I wrote about this for my blog
THESAVRIL
and i decided to share this one with you... enjoy!
THESAVRIL: When Did My Avril Lavigne Addiction Started?
When "Complicated" music video was first released, I saw it on TV.
My first impression was like:
- Oh, she's pretty..
- hmm, nice voice..
- tsk, i hate this song!
- what is she? a tomboy or not?
- I doubt if I'll like her
Then "Sk8ter Boi" was released. I didn't saw the video not until I heard something.
As far as I can remember, I heard "Why" on the radio after the few releases of Avril's singles..
After hearing "Why", I was so amazed! Until I found out that it was Avril Lavigne that sang the song.
I couldn't believe that it was her so I did the searching. Watching all of her music videos and listening until I got high. lolz
One of the best things I liked from her back then was:
- she has the voice
- she's singing live
- she's real
- she has the style
- she's unique
And it was much more cooler that she was a tomboy. rofl
Now, she has matured, but on the process of that, her second album was the ending to her tomboyish acts and the birth of the new Avril is witnessed in this third album.
I loved her second album, it was:
- dark
- angry
- full of emotions
- it's more of a rock music
but back then it was lonely. I somehow felt it was me.
You see, I loved Avril Lavigne because of her voice and her ability to communicate with others through her music. Her music speaks of what the general people have experienced in their lives, and if you doubt that, please, listen to her second album, "Under My Skin!"
And if you're trying to test her voice, please do watch her live concerts. If you can't, try to find the best quality videos of her concert in the internet!
Speaking of her shocking change, I also admire her personal life, although I have no idea of what really it is. It is obvious that she has protected it since the media cannot directly penetrate in her personal life. What I mean to say here is that the media can only have her few meters away and that's what you call these people paparazzi. She's not the type that the media can catch her naked in her CR, like P***s H****n or any other celebrities of the like. She's also not the person that people knew, like B*****y S****s. When people hear about this B*****y S****s, people would say, "I knew she would do that, she's a B***h!"
Now, I admire her more for she has changed for the good. She has developed her voice, her attitude and her everything.
From now on, don't you dare question me about why I like Avril Lavigne ever again!
