(Incredibly, my eight-year-old daughter picked up on the altered melody a good two seconds before I did. Heh-heh...)


Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas (the HUGE Avril fan on the show) danced to the stage band's "waltzy" version of the song, although their second dance later in the show was probably the best of the night. If they don't win this season, I would be very surprised.

It's GREAT to see Avril's discography continue to get major airtime on such a highly watched show by so many major demographics. Way to go AVRIL!!!

LOL, yeah, no kidding. I couldn't believe I didn't pick up on it first, but "Avrilness" definitely runs in the family. To be honest, we've been practicing I'm With You on the guitar as one of my daughter's early pop tunes (instead of just the traditional music she learns in school). She's got the melody down pretty good but she's not yet ready with it to do this year's talent show at her school (she chose to do La Bamba on piano, which she already knows). Still, if she ever decides to perform one of my favorite Avril songs in public, I will absolutely bust a gut with pride!!!

omg u should be sooooooooo proud. im sure my kid will learn alot of avril stuff if she ever does do an avril song in public u MUST record it or something good luck with the talent show i hope she does amazing in it
