I think it's silly to allow people to design clothing for your line straight out of your closet if you're trying to be unique, as she says. It's completely hypocritical.
No, I don't own anything from it for the obvious reason I've stated. As well as the fact that I've seen it on people and in the stores and it looks very cheap.

you really think so? i love it and its of the same quality material as the expensive brands avril wears
i know as i own alot of her clothing other than abbey dawn, its exactly the same .... yeah i see what u mean about her hypocriting herself ... but hey it sells and some fans love it as its the only way for them to get clothes avril's worn
i think that sells it alot - the fact that avril personally wears it

um, no one who's seen me has said it looks cheap. everyone who sees my abbey dawn clothes loves them. seriously, who cares if avril's clothes look like other brands? everything looks like everything nowadays. she didn't say she wanted it to be unique--she said she wanted it to be like the clothes she wears.
this thread is for people who actually LIKE abbey dawn.

Why are you in this thread if you dont like the clothes? Seems there has to be somewhere else you could be.

Abbey Dawn is not cheap. It's sold at Kohl's, so obviously it's not high end and the most chic thing on the planet. It is made out of good material though. I've worn the pieces especially from the first collection so many times and washed them over and over again and they're still in perfect condition. You just have to take care of it all. Wash everything inside out, make sure you roll up sleeves so they don't get dirty... that kind of stuff. Nothing about it is cheap though.

See, that's where you guys don't understand though.. I'm not saying that something more expensive is going to be better. It obviously isn't. Things priced at $500 that are probably made of the same material can be shitty, too. I definitely don't buy into it. Most of my clothes come from thrift stores, salvation armys, and 75% off racks at Target, and they have held up just fine.
I say they look cheap to me because not only do they look sweat-shop made quality, but they have insanely generic designs. How is covering a shirt in 'Abbey Dawn,' 'rocknroll,' and 'rock on' considered unique or remotely interesting..?
And I'm here to discuss the line, because I want to. I have every right to discuss it as you do. Why should I start another thread about the line just to point out negative things when this is apparently the "official" thread to talk about it in?

i agree you should be able to say your opinion in this thread - as it is the abbey dawn thread - i dont think you should have to pretend you like it just cos ur an avril fan - you'll find 9/10 you cant have an honest opinion as someone will try to get u banned etc i find that alot
i understand your opinion , your not actually being nasty about it - its true what you are saying - the designs arent that unique in general. But its the fact that avril designed these clothes and put together ideas from her own clothes that people love
The clothes are unique purely for the fact they are abbey dawn with the abbey dawn skull logos etc but the actually designs are not unique. I think fans just like the fact that these clothes are worn by avril and easy to get and affordable.
Avril did say the designs were taken straight from her wardrobe so its not like shes trying to hide it or anything - and I think its very obvious lol
The quality thing - sorry i thought that was what you meant .... and i agree expensicve clothes does not mean better quality - u pay for the name ..
Even though the Abbey dawn designs are influenced big time from other clothes - i still love them cos avril's taken a design she likes and added her own touch to it - which is wht she said she would do basically .
Its good that you express your honest opnion though, we can't all love abbey dawn just cos we are fans, but i personally think its freakin' awesome LOL
