Hey Bandaiders!

I’m sure you’re all well aware of all the talent shows which seem to be taking over the TV stations now-a-days, pretty much every single one of these shows challenges auditionee’s vocal skills; now here on bandaids we give you a new skill to put to the test! In the form of, Avril-Guitar-Idol! It may be a simple title, but this sure isn’t a simple contest. Do you think you can play guitar as good as, or better than, Avril Lavigne? Over four gruelling stages your playing ability will be challenged.

Prize details
1st Place – 100,000 BBux

The remaining four runners up who make it to the final round will each get 10,000 BBux

In order to enter, all you need is a guitar! And some form capturing video and sound. Record yourself playing an Avril song, on guitar, and post it here! I recommend you upload your video to Youtube, as this will allow everyone to easily watch/listen to your entry; just post your links in this thread and I’ll form a list is this post :] Where voting is concerned – a poll-thread will be made for each Stage, and the auditionees who receive the most votes will go through to the next stage. One week will be allowed for voting in-between stages. There is currently no fixed amount of people who will go through, except for in the final stage (5 finalists). Below are details on how all the stages will pan out, and what songs you will be allowed to play.

Stage One- The Auditions
Begins – Sat June 7
Ends – Sun July 13
Voting – Sun July 13 – Sun July 20

Details
For five weeks, every bandaids member can enter the contest. But only the best will make it through to the second stage!

Stage Two
Begins – Sun July 20
Ends – Tues July 22
Voting – Tues July 22 – Sun July 27

Details
All applicants who make it through will have 2 days to get their performances in; you may select a song to play from the same list as for Stage One, but you must not use the same track.

Stage Three
Begins - Sun July 27
Ends – Tues July 29
Voting – Tues July 29 – Sun August 3

Details
As with stage two, you’ll only have a couple of days to get in your entry, but this time you can select any song of Avril’s to play.

The Final Stage
Begins – Sun August 3
Ends – Sun August 10
Voting – Sun August 10 – Sat August 16
Winner announced – Sun August 17

Details
For this final stage, you’ll have to rock out to Avril’s anthem, Sk8er Boi. Only five people will make it through to this final stage!


Don’t know how to play Avril’s songs? Scroll up to the bandaids Google search at the top of this page and search for them! I.e. ‘Girlfriend tabs’ etcetc.

NOTE – Post links to your videos in this thread – for all stages. Please do not use file sharing sites – I.e. Rapid share etc.

Remember, the best player wins!
