Well, they're not very big, spanish venue had 12000 (more or less) of capacity....

The venue in Mannheim is a lot smaller. I think its about 2200 people and the Columbiahalle in Berlin is about 3500.

I don't think Avril will ever play such a big venue in Germany.
The Foo Fighters played in Düsseldorf yesterday, too. This could have been around 10.000. I dunno.

Wow, didn't know it's that small. I've a ticket but I've never been there.
Only Berlin concert was Beatsteaks Wuhlheide.

Depends on how you would rate "famous". She is of course no second Madonna here, but she is still known by most people between 12 and 30, or whatever is today the "target audience". She is in the "youth magazines" like every second week, you can get posters in every city, and so on.

Blah. Don't really know how to rate the "celebrity status" of a popstar, Avril is by far the most commercial act I listen too.

But to be honest the whole european tour was planned...well, chaotic. Too many gigs in germany, too many gigs in the UK, no! gig in switzerland as far as I know, also no one in portugal, and no one in norway. I know, these are small countries, but wealthy ones...aka they could make good money there.

Yeah, you're right. Portugal, Switzerland, Norway and even one more date for Spain or France (big country), instead of 5 to Germany and and UK.

But it may be not the worst about the tour...

you know... would you ever think..that perhaps.. the reason other countrys are getting more dates is because they sold more albums there.

Using Ireland as a prime example. Tiny place. Population about 6 million i'm not so sure. She did two dates there. One 7,000 capacity, and the other 10,000 capacity. 7,000 soldout, the 10,000 wasn't far off selling out.

Look at it this way, she obviously sold a lot of albums there, and thats why there was 2 shows.

the Uk another example.. altho there is a lot of people there. but nearly every UK show sold out, so obviously, she sold loads of albums there too.

Well, it makes sense to make more concerts where more album are sold or where you can see that you're famous. I believe a lot of artists do exactly the same. It's not really bad.

But she should try to treat every each fan the same way, although we know she may have some favourite audiencies because of she sell more album or she likes how fans of that country acts, who knows. Look what happened with Spain. She's always facing all the accusation, like Mexico issue and Canada Issue, where it was said she treated bad her fans. And she wrote a blog entry to clear up what happened with US cancellations. Why not do that here in Spain? It seems like she don't care as much as she cares other audiencies

to be honest, spain was probably lucky to get a concert date in the first place, she has never really done that well in spanish charts.

I don't know, but she's more known as charts say. At least she was , I don't know what will happen because of concert cancellation. But she is really appreciated here, she always sold 6000-7000 and this time I think she sold a little more, although we'll never know
