it depends on the set-up the of the venue you're going to. the buses may be parked behind fencing or behind the venue and it's not accessible to anyone not working there. you might still try hanging out for a while? if the buses are out in the open, just stand by them for a while, she'll come out eventually. and yes, security guards are asses most of the time, but they're doing their job and they dont want to get sued, or whatever else, for anything that may happen. they'll tell you anythign to get you to leave

Hey I managed to see her!!
It was my last concert of hers, 10th July 2007, in Switzerland.
It was so easy..
The concert was over, and I went to the backstage where a lot of people were waiting for her, but it wasn't sure she would get out, everybody said she had already gone..
But that wasn't true!
After an hour they said she would get out of the bus..In fact I found her in front of me and she signed me 3 autoghraphs..
However sorry for the english..It sucks

Ive met the band twice,and Avril once and simple plan once and regina spektor by tour bus searching. its so worth it.

1)find where the busses park. usually at a back entrance somewhere

2) it doesnt hurt asking some roadies if Avril will be there soon or is already in the venue.
they can be really friendly. One guy helped me out loads. and a guitar tech gave me an Under My Skin Plec. really cool.

3) be prepared to wait around for a very very long time, both before and after the show.

4)if security guards tell you she has already left , DONT BELIEVE THEM! stick aroun anyway... chances are they are lying!

5)Be cool to her..and not too creepy

Roadies are the guys loading in equipment and driving equipment vans and stuff.

Evil-J is right.
Some of you make it seem that it is near impossible to meet her after a show.

It's fairly easy.
It's worked for me 3 times.
Once in 2002
2004 - The Mall Tour
and this past summer 2007 after a radio show.



Just know you're venue.
Know where the buses park and head there after the show.
Wait behind the fence or whatever that place has set up.
Guards will tell you anything from "private property" to "she's not coming out" just to make you go away. I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO BELIEVE THEM. Stand your ground or say you're "waiting for your ride" even if you aren't.


This may take almost two hours but as soon as you see her, shout her name and she'll notice you. I've met her three times just waiting outside after the show.


It's not hard at all, I swear.
