Contrary to false Internet rumours being spread by people with a specific negative agenda, concert dates for The Best Damn Tour are selling well in many places. The focus here will be on the U.S. and Canada for the moment. Perhaps someone in Europe could look into ticket sales there, but I do see that an additional date has been added for Glasgow because the first one sold out.
To prove that North American ticket sales are nowhere as bleak as some bloggers would have you believe, search for at least two tickets on the Ticketmaster website for the U.S. or Canada. Note that searching for a single ticket is not a good indicator of how much of the venue has sold, since those individual seats are only tiny "holes" of availability in the audience seating pattern. If you're going by yourself or don't mind not sitting with your friends, this could be a great way to get closer to the stage. However, given that most people will be going in groups of two or more, be sure to search for at least two tickets to get a better idea of how close the venue is to being sold out.
Keep in mind that some venues are far larger than others, so selling 10,000 seats in a 21,000 seat arena still may be viewed nearly as favorably as selling out 10,000 seats in a 10,000 seat arena. Yes, operating costs will probably be higher for the larger venues, but be careful not to perceive lack of sellout as "a failure" or indicator of poor ticket sales. Only the tour management knows exactly where their break-even point is, so don't buy into the negative trash gossip you may have read somewhere on the Internet.
For example, check out best availability of two adjacent seats for the following venues. The red "X" is only an approximate estimate of the seating location, but it quickly indicates the section. If the section is far from the stage, then that venue is likely selling quite well. Simple...
For the April 29th concert in Las Vegas, the best pair of tickets on Ticketmaster is on the upper casino level. Being Vegas, this concert could easily still sell out.
The Vancouver concert for March 7 seems to be selling briskly, despite the huge size of the venue (nearly 14,000 seats for a concert)
The best pair of tickets currently available on Ticketmaster are in the Balcony Level, towards the back.
The best availability for a pair of tickets at the Honda Center in Anaheim for the May 3rd concert is in the corner on the side of the stage in the Upper Level Terrace.
