my review Aprill 11 - Best Damn Tour

hi guys

i saw avril at the nassau coliseum in uniondale ny and she was amazing! i bought 2 Ga tickets for me and my sister (my first time with GA tickets) we were the first on in line but i wasnt sure if it was the right line so i got out to ask someone and when we got back there was a lady with her kids there so we just waited like 5 hours. we got in and omg i didnt expect the crowd to be soooo hyper before avril even came on stage everyone was pushing and shoving. the moment that BLG got on stage everyone started jumping and a huge wave of ppl shoving to the left and then to the right, i could breath cuz everyone was ontop of each other. im only 5'1 and i was surrounded by tall ppl (kids and their growth spert jezzzzz) i was close to the baricades, i was just 2 ppl behind it. i had to get on my tippy toes and i still didnt see anythng, then all of a sudden everyone shoved to the right and i almost lost my balance. i almost had a panic attack there and i felt dizzy so the moment i saw the security guard i was like "can i get out of here"!!! i made my way to the front and he picked me up and got me out of there (he is my hero) i only lasted there for 2 BLG songs




now that i was breathing fresh air and i was free from that whole mess i called my sister up and we went to buy some merch. there was no line so i got a change to get some stuff





after we got some things we snuck into the seating area and found some seats and just stayed there the whole night. avril came out and everyone freaked out from where i was standing we could see the whole GA area and saw that ppl were going NUTS and ppl fell down to the ground cuz of all the pushing and shoving. security had to get some ppl out of there!! i was like wow that could have been me (since it was in the same area i was in too)




anyway avril keeped the crowd pumping and jumping it was awesome there were these little girls with flags in front of me totaly ROCKIN OUT with there flags lol she almost poked my eye out it was so funny. from where i sat i saw avril comming off stage and going back on, going to change her outfit n stuff so it we were the first one yelling When the show finished me and my sister decided to go the tour bus for a few minutes, cuz our limo was gonna pick us up on a certain time. we saw lindsey, sofie and all the other dancers and bryan from BLG signed stuff for ppl. sad to say i didnt see avril cuz i had to leave cuz our limo guy came and he was already waiting for us i missed avril once again we went into the town car and we went back to NJ. 1/2 way back home the driver had to take the car to his office and he picked up a huge white cadillac escilade limo cuz he had to go to a wedding so we were lucky to ride in that limo just me and my sister. it was sooo cool. we got to my house and there was no one outside but we saw ppl poking their heads out the window to see who it was lol. me and my sister were cracking up cuz everyone who saw us just stared lol and we got home and we were knocked out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aprill 11 will be an unforgetable moment for me, it was an awesome, rockin, fun jumping day!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that review, although it makes me even angrier that I couldn't go, being you got so close to the damn stage! I'll get over it though...It sounds like the crowd was crazier than the other show too, which also makes me wish I would have been there.

Anyway, except for the GA experience, which I'm sorry about, it sounds like it was another awesome time to be had.

Well, it depends on the type of crowd you get. I don't think you would have had it too bad at the other show, because most of the people weren't getting crazy.

I know I didn't have to push anyone around during the entire show, and that's including the time that the lead singer from Boys Like Girls threw his water bottle, and it landed in front of me. I figured I would be mauled by the girls around me, but it never happened. The most I did was block the asshole who jumped for it from my back/left side, so the girls eeither in front of me, or to my right, could grab the bottle. The girls in front of me ended up with the bottle, and I ended up with a partially wet shirt, and another life story.

The only two problems I've ever had with the floor is the fact that tall people usually manage to stand in the way, and, at the last show I attended before Avril's, we had to deal with some drunk guy who was laying into people in the mosh pit. It got to the point where the guy in front of me tossed him over to the other side, and the people on that side tried to kick his ass. The only reason they didn't was because his friends, and security, dragged him out of there as he was cursing and screaming. You won't find that happening in the stands!

omg haha well i got wet too and some guys were taked out of the crowd idk if it was cuz were pushing or were like me, they could take it anymore. avril should have more consideration over short ppl cuz she is tiny like me hehehe

You're lucky you got wet tonight though, because it wasn't too cold outside.

Wow, I wonder why they got thrown out...
I can't see why anyone would necessarily get thrown out of an Avril Lavigne concert, unless they were there to strictly cause trouble. It's not like a Slayer concert, where you know people are showing up to be crazy...

As far as the height thing, unfortunately, there isn't much anyone can do about it. If you have a friend with you, you can bother them until they let you sit on their shoulders, or you can try moving to a different spot, but other than that, there isn't much that can be done.

I see girls pulling the shoulder deal with their boyfriends all the time, and as I said, they can get to the front a lot easier than guys. Girls suck...

They really should order people by their height, i.e. shorter people should be first row, so that no one misses out

Yeah GA places are not comfortable.The best of course VIP area in front of the stage
