Lavigne to play Halifax in August





Canadian pop superstar Avril Lavigne returns to the Halifax Metro Centre with her Best Damn Tour on Sun., Aug. 10.
The concert tour follows her successful third studio album Best Damn Thing, which has been certified platinum in the U.S and sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide since its release last year. Produced by Butch Walker and her husband Deryck Whibley, Best Damn Thing is a spirited project preceded by the chart-topping single, Girlfriend, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200. The high energy of the album will be reflected in Lavigne’s stage show, which features dancers and a live band.
Special guest for this tour is Massachusetts rock band Boys Like Girls.
Tickets for the Halifax date go on sale on Sat., April 26 at 9 a.m. Seats are $49.50 and $54.50 (plus service charge), and tickets can be purchased at the Metro Centre’s Ticket Atlantic box office (451-1221 or Ticket Atlantic: Your Event Connection) and at all participating Atlantic Superstore outlets.

It is selling VERY well. The tickets went on sale yesterday morning and last night I went to see if there were any lower bowl seats left and it said the only seats they had were upper bowl. The GA floor is almost sold out too. To most I could get were 3 floor tickets... It wouldn't give me four and it gave me Upper Bowl instead.

I ended up getting 7 tickets before they went on sale to the public. 5 floor for me and my friends and 2 lower bowl for my mom and her friend. I'm SO pumped you don't even know.
