Greet her when it's your turn, say a few nice words, get your picture taken with her (remember to smile), and move on. Make the memory positive by the simple fact that you got to quickly converse with her and get a pic that you'll never forget. There's usually not a lot of time for much else, anyway.

When you get access later to the Meet-n-Greet pictures from other venues, you'll see that there are lots of older adults who met her, too, although there is no question in North America that the majority of her concert-goers are teen girls, which is perfectly fine, considering her widely diverse global fanbase. One of these days I wouldn't mind seeing her in concert in Germany to see the difference in demographics (heavily male), but as a parent of two girls, I really don't have any problem with going to such an amazing concert where I'm seriously outnumbered. Regardless of age or gender, we're there as fans for the music and to support Avril.

Have fun! She's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you again for all the pointers and pre-concert help before the Dallas show. It was a super experience for us, and hopefully others will be just as thrilled as we were to meet her.

Cheers!

Thanks for the advise its really appreciated. It will be a thrill to meet her and although I wont have long Im sure it will be an experience I wont forget.

Not sure if anyone can tell me but is it ok to take a gift along to give to her. Im thinking of just a small thing not a bulky parcel.

yeah thats good advice.
i think the best thing to do is to just be norma & not start freaking out going"omg i love you so much". im sure she's fed up of people like that. so i reckon just talk to her normally.l

Sure, people give her gifts, and she's generally very sweet about receiving them. Just don't be disappointed if you don't get to hand it to her personally. When you're in line waiting to see her at the Meet 'n Greet, the security guys will inspect you and anything you're carrying. You'll be told that you can't hold anything of significance or wear a jacket to conceal anything when you meet her, so don't take it personally; it's for very good reasons. If there's any question about what you can hand her, her personal security will give you a quick yes or no, and they have little intention of inspecting anything that requires more than a quick look. Artwork is usually fine, and is a very common thing to give her. Fansite owners have presented her scrapbooks with lots of messages and photos from members, and she just loves that sort of thing. People who have tried to bring alcohol into the venue have been stopped cold at the door and had it confiscated, but perhaps some venues are more or less strict than others. Homemade burned CD's are not allowed to be handed to her, although the security guys will take it. The best advice is to keep it simple and use common sense while taking security concerns into account.
